Construction Supervisor

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Construction Supervisor to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role focuses on developing accurate cost estimates for construction and engineering projects and supporting proposal development for government contracts.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed cost estimates using RFP documents, drawings, specifications and historical pricing data.
• Identify labor, material, equipment, subcontractor and other direct cost requirements for project planning.
• Analyze construction documents, blueprints and bills of material to determine production costs.
• Maintain cost models and estimating databases to support proposal development.
• Revise estimates as project scope or customer needs change and prepare compliant cost‑reimbursable estimates.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, subcontractors and vendors to gather cost data.
• Support pricing activities for domestic and international government opportunities and assist with audit documentation.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced estimators.

Required profile

• Mid‑level professional with at least 4 years of experience in construction cost estimating.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret technical specifications.
• Experience working on government or defense contracts is preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
