About the role
We are looking for a proactive Desktop Support Engineer to provide first‑line technical assistance to end‑users. You will handle hardware, software and basic network issues for Windows‑based workstations, ensuring smooth daily operations.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver L1 support for desktops, laptops, printers and related peripherals.
- Troubleshoot Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams and common business applications.
- Install, configure and maintain devices and software according to company standards.
- Perform basic Active Directory tasks such as user account creation, password resets and access provisioning.
- Diagnose and resolve LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP connectivity problems.
- Assist with network cabling, switch and router issues at a basic level.
- Log, track and close incidents using ITSM/ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
- Escalate complex problems to L2/L3 teams when necessary.
- Support user onboarding, device provisioning and IT asset management.
- Maintain technical documentation, troubleshooting records and asset inventories.
Required profile
- 1–3 years of experience in desktop, IT or network support.
- Hands‑on experience with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 environments.
- Familiarity with Active Directory user management.
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi).
- Experience using ITSM tools such as ServiceNow or similar.
- Good communication and customer‑service skills.
- Preferred: CompTIA A+, Network+ or CCNA certification; ITIL Foundation knowledge; experience in an enterprise IT support setting.
