Field M&E and Research Manager – Gaza

About the role

One Acre Fund is seeking a senior commercial leader to shape and execute its commercial vision in Uganda. The role bridges high‑level strategy with on‑the‑ground execution, overseeing market access for cash crops and rural retail operations that connect thousands of smallholder farmers to global markets.

Key responsibilities

• Define a 3–5 year commercial roadmap, conduct value‑chain analyses and decide strategic entry points.
• Build and manage a pipeline of commercial pilots, scaling successful models country‑wide.
• Oversee end‑to‑end execution of crop buybacks and input sales, ensuring product quality and efficient last‑mile distribution.
• Own the P&L, drive revenue growth, optimise margins and manage capital allocation, including OPEX, CAPEX and FX exposure.
• Lead partnership development with buyers, processors and distributors, representing the organisation at external events.
• Directly manage two workstream leads, fostering a high‑performing commercial team.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and executing commercial strategies in an agricultural context.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to build strategic alliances and represent an organisation externally.
• Track record of delivering revenue growth and margin optimisation.
