Junior Accountant / Accounting Associate (Full‑Time, Remote)

About the role

The Junior Accountant/Accounting Associate will support the bookkeeping operations of GAAP Consult Limited, an accounting firm serving multiple clients. You will help maintain accurate financial records, record transactions, reconcile accounts and prepare reports under the guidance of senior accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Record and reconcile daily financial transactions—including sales, purchases, receipts and payments—using QuickBooks Online.
• Maintain up‑to‑date general ledgers and client records, reviewing the accuracy of payables and receivables.
• Perform bank, credit‑card and other account reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, budgets and forecasts for clients.
• Support the setup and onboarding of new clients, capturing chart of accounts, opening balances and financial history.
• Respond to client queries and provide bookkeeping support as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Actively pursuing a professional qualification (CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
• 1–2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience (internships count).
• Strong analytical ability, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple client engagements.
• Fluent English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
