Obstetrician (Ob‑Gyn) – Emergency Response Team

About the role

The Obstetrician/Gynecologist (Ob‑Gyn) will join an Emergency Response Team to provide comprehensive care for mothers and newborns throughout pregnancy, labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. The role combines routine prenatal care, management of obstetric emergencies, and neonatal resuscitation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct prenatal check‑ups, screenings, and counseling for expectant mothers.
• Monitor labor progress, intervene when complications arise, and perform deliveries, including assisted vaginal births and cesarean sections.
• Respond promptly to obstetric emergencies such as preeclampsia, placental abruption, umbilical cord prolapse, postpartum hemorrhage, and shoulder dystocia.
• Provide neonatal resuscitation and stabilize newborns with complications.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Educate patients on warning signs during pregnancy and maintain accurate medical records.

Required profile

• Graduate of an Obstetrics and Gynecology specialization program.
• Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Strong clinical judgment and capacity to work under pressure in emergency situations.
