Social Media Executive (Travel & Tourism)

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Social Media Executive to join our travel and tourism team in Kampala. You will be responsible for building an engaging online presence that showcases our destinations, services, and brand personality.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Zarova’s Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and other social platforms.
• Create and publish posts, Reels, Stories, videos and graphics that highlight travel experiences.
• Develop and maintain a social media content calendar with consistent publishing.
• Respond to comments, messages, WhatsApp enquiries and nurture potential customers.
• Generate and follow up on leads generated through social channels.
• Assist with Facebook and Instagram advertising campaigns.
• Monitor performance metrics and prepare basic reports.
• Stay updated on trends and propose fresh content ideas.
• Support website and other digital‑marketing activities as needed.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Marketing or related field (advantageous).
• 1–3 years of experience in social media management or digital marketing.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Creative, organized, proactive and customer‑focused.
• Passion for travel and tourism is a plus.
