Accounts Relationship Officer (Iganga)

About the role

The Accounts Relationship Officer will promote FINCA Uganda’s financial products and services in the Iganga area, building strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. You will be responsible for growing the loan and deposit portfolio while ensuring high credit quality.

Key responsibilities

• Market all FINCA products and services to potential clients.
• Identify and acquire new customers, develop strategies for retention, and meet branch targets.
• Grow deposits and loan portfolio in line with set goals.
• Prepare detailed loan applications and assess creditworthiness.
• Monitor loan performance and conduct recovery activities.
• Organise client sensitisation seminars and information sessions.
• Plan, review and adjust strategies for loan growth and quality control.
• Ensure compliance with FINCA Uganda lending policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in a business‑related field.
• Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time.
• Ability to ride a motorcycle.
• Hands‑on experience in sales and community mobilisation.
• Excellent communication skills in English and at least one local language.
• Professional appearance and strong problem‑solving, multitasking and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain professionalism.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office applications.
