Education Technical Assistant – Kampala & Southwest

About the role

The Education Technical Assistant will support the implementation and scaling up of transferable‑skills initiatives in schools and TVET institutions across Kampala and the Southwest region. The role combines administrative, operational, monitoring and technical functions to ensure programmes are learner‑centred and effectively coordinated with partners.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive administrative, operational, monitoring and technical support throughout the entire programme cycle, ensuring activities are well‑documented and aligned with project objectives.
• Facilitate the integration of transferable skills—such as communication, problem‑solving, teamwork, leadership, digital literacy and socio‑emotional competencies—into existing educational and vocational training curricula.
• Strengthen institutional capacities of schools and TVET centres by offering guidance, resources and follow‑up support to promote sustainable learner‑centred approaches.
• Coordinate effectively with relevant stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs and community partners, to align efforts and maximise impact.
• Monitor programme progress, collect data and produce reports that inform continuous improvement and scaling strategies.
