Executive Director – Hospital Leadership

About the role

The Executive Director will serve as the chief executive officer of St. Mary's Hospital Lacor, providing ethical, mission‑aligned leadership for the entire hospital complex. Reporting to the Board of Directors and appointed by the Annual General Meeting, the role restores clear executive accountability while preserving the collegial culture of the institution.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate all directorates and units to implement Board‑approved policies and strategies.
• Safeguard quality of care, access, sustainability, assets and the hospital’s reputation.
• Hold senior management collectively accountable for results and ensure timely decision‑making.
• Promote a team‑oriented approach while retaining final authority on major decisions.
• Represent the hospital legally and act as the ex‑officio member of the Internal Management Board.

Required profile

• Demonstrated senior leadership experience in a not‑for‑profit or healthcare setting.
• Strong commitment to the mission of affordable, quality health care.
• Ability to work with a Board, senior managers and external partners.
• Excellent ethical judgment and governance understanding.
