Field Technician (Sales & Technical Support)

About the role

The Field Technician will be the on‑site representative of Zakom Tech in Kampala, handling both sales activities and technical support for network equipment. You will ensure the site runs smoothly, meet revenue targets, and protect company assets while delivering excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve agreed sales targets by promoting Zakom Tech products and acquiring new customers.
• Maintain day‑to‑day site operations, keeping the location clean, organized and functional during operating hours.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, answering enquiries and handling routine issues.
• Safeguard network devices, tools, stock and other assets assigned to the site.
• Report operational challenges and coordinate with senior managers on site requirements.
• Provide technical fixes and support for connectivity equipment as needed.

Required profile

• Entry‑level candidates with up to 24 months of relevant experience.
• Strong customer‑facing attitude and ability to meet sales goals.
• Reliability in managing site operations and protecting assets.
