Financial Inclusion Officer – Mityana

About the role

The Financial Inclusion Officer will work in the Mityana catch‑area to expand FINCA Uganda’s group‑lending services. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the officer will lead community‑based sales, marketing and financial‑literacy activities, ensuring that target numbers of new clients are reached each month.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑create monthly sales and marketing plans with the Branch Manager, targeting community sales drives, focus groups and door‑to‑door outreach.
• Organise and deliver three‑day training sessions for prospective group‑lending customers, covering financial literacy and FINCA’s self‑managed group product.
• Facilitate group formation, leader selection, governance principles and record‑keeping during trainings.
• Assess group readiness for FINCA financial services and provide weekly progress reports to the Branch Manager.
• Maintain accurate records of activities, customer interactions and sales results.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business, Marketing, Education or a related field.
• Fluency in English and the local language spoken in the operating area.
• Ability to ride a motorcycle for field visits.
• Strong interpersonal and customer‑service orientation.
• Good problem‑solving, time‑management and communication abilities.
