Project Assistant – Multiple Locations

About the role

Raising The Village is seeking motivated Project Assistants to support the implementation of poverty‑reduction programmes across several districts in Eastern Uganda. You will work directly with partner villages, facilitating trainings and ensuring project activities are delivered on time and to standard.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in project design review meetings, provide feedback and help update budgets before implementation.
• Co‑facilitate community trainings on financial literacy, health‑sanitation, agriculture, livestock management and other thematic areas.
• Prepare and submit procurement lists, verify goods and inputs before distribution.
• Conduct regular follow‑up visits with community groups and households to monitor compliance and project impact.
• Identify risks, propose mitigation measures and recommend improvements to project processes.
• Maintain accurate records and report progress to the Project Officer.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in community‑based project implementation or a related field.
• Fluency in English and at least one local language spoken in the assigned districts (e.g., Lugisu, Lumasaba, Ateso, Lusoga, Kupsabiny, etc.).
• Mid‑level qualification with a demonstrated ability to work independently in field settings.
