Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our peri‑operative team, providing comprehensive patient care before, during, and after surgery. The RN will work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff to ensure safe and efficient operating room procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient care throughout pre‑operative, intra‑operative, and post‑operative phases.
• Perform patient assessments, document histories, and develop nursing diagnoses.
• Create and adjust individualized care plans in collaboration with patients and families.
• Maintain aseptic technique, conduct surgical case counting, and verify patient and surgical site identification.
• Assist surgeons, anticipate needs, and respond to emergencies promptly.
• Document all care activities accurately in patient records.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Registered Nurse license.
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Knowledge of JCAHO regulations, Nurse Practice Act, and patient rights.
