Senior Programme Associate – Data & GIS Analyst

About the role

The World Food Programme is seeking a Senior Programme Associate to provide data and GIS analysis for the Karamoja Sentinel project in Kampala. You will support humanitarian analytics, GIS mapping, and AI‑supported forecasting to improve food security monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Clean, format, validate and manage datasets from climate, market, FSNA and monitoring sources.
• Maintain project databases, data repositories and metadata documentation.
• Perform routine statistical analysis and prepare analytical summaries for reporting.
• Produce GIS maps and spatial analysis products to support project workstreams.
• Assist with dashboard development and data quality assurance processes.
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of data‑driven insights.

Required profile

• Early‑career analyst with strong interest in humanitarian analytics and food security.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment.
