About the role
The Store Manager will lead a Centra store to deliver excellent customer service and a fresh food offering while meeting sales and profitability targets. You will oversee daily operations, manage the team, and ensure the store reflects Centra’s brand values.
Key responsibilities
- Ensure smooth store operations and uphold Centra brand values (Proud, Energetic, Imaginative, Community‑Based).
- Set, monitor and achieve sales, gross profit, net margin, waste and other KPI targets.
- Implement planograms and maintain the correct product range.
- Manage employee rostering, annual leave and keep accurate records.
- Engage regularly with the Store Owner and report on performance.
- Maintain high merchandising and presentation standards.
- Foster clear communication in a safe, respectful, inclusive environment.
- Handle customer queries professionally and in line with store policy.
- Adopt new initiatives and ways of working.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years experience in a retail management role.
- Proven ability to achieve KPIs and sales targets.
- Strong analytical skills for reading and acting on reports.
- Excellent communication and delegation abilities.
- Highly driven with a strong work ethic and passion for grocery retail.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
