Store Manager – Retail Operations

About the role

The Store Manager will lead a Centra store to deliver excellent customer service and a fresh food offering while meeting sales and profitability targets. You will oversee daily operations, manage the team, and ensure the store reflects Centra’s brand values.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure smooth store operations and uphold Centra brand values (Proud, Energetic, Imaginative, Community‑Based).
• Set, monitor and achieve sales, gross profit, net margin, waste and other KPI targets.
• Implement planograms and maintain the correct product range.
• Manage employee rostering, annual leave and keep accurate records.
• Engage regularly with the Store Owner and report on performance.
• Maintain high merchandising and presentation standards.
• Foster clear communication in a safe, respectful, inclusive environment.
• Handle customer queries professionally and in line with store policy.
• Adopt new initiatives and ways of working.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a retail management role.
• Proven ability to achieve KPIs and sales targets.
• Strong analytical skills for reading and acting on reports.
• Excellent communication and delegation abilities.
• Highly driven with a strong work ethic and passion for grocery retail.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
