Air Transportation Supervisor

About the role

Amentum is seeking an Air Transportation Supervisor to support a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role is based in Kampala, Kamwokya and focuses on overseeing fleet service operations to ensure aircraft are cleaned, serviced, and ready for departure in line with all applicable regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise fleet service operations, ensuring tasks are completed on time and comply with AFI 24-605 and other regulations.
• Assign and manage a team handling aircraft equipment loading/unloading, galley/lavatory servicing, and interior sanitation.
• Coordinate work schedules to meet aircraft departure and arrival deadlines.
• Inspect and maintain aircraft service equipment, guaranteeing operational safety and cleanliness.
• Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders such as cargo handlers and ground crews for efficient servicing.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate records of service activities, equipment usage, and inventory.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members to sustain high performance and compliance.
• Resolve operational issues promptly to preserve schedule integrity.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of relevant experience in fleet service, air transportation, or ground support operations.
• Prior supervisory experience within similar operational environments.
• Familiarity with AFI 24‑605 or comparable aviation service regulations.

Required skills

• Knowledge of aircraft servicing procedures.
• Equipment inspection and maintenance expertise.
