Automotive Body Repairer

About the role

Amentum is looking for an Automotive Body Repairer to join a US Navy program based in Kampala, Uganda. The role involves repairing and preparing military and civilian vehicles according to manufacturer standards while maintaining strict safety and environmental protocols.

Key responsibilities

• Repair vehicles per estimate and manufacturer specifications.
• Verify parts against estimates, order, and receive correct components.
• Prepare vehicles for body repair work and notify management of additional repairs or issues.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) in proper condition.
• Comply with all laws and regulations related to paint, thinners, hazardous waste, and OSHA requirements.
• Report deviations, safety hazards, and any obstacles that could affect quality or schedule.
• Assist colleagues with vehicle preparation and repair tasks.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months to one year of related experience or training.
• Valid passport with at least one year remaining validity.
• Ability to obtain required visas and pass contract medical examinations.
• Commitment to safety, PPE use, and zero‑injury workplace standards.
