About the role
The Automotive Sales Manager will lead the growth of our Trailer Braking Systems portfolio across the Northern Region. You will combine technical expertise with commercial acumen to expand market share, secure new accounts, and drive revenue for a range of braking products.
Key responsibilities
- Drive sales of trailer braking systems, including ABS, conventional brakes, air brake components, pressure filters, modulators, sensors and related spare parts.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in trailer, truck and fleet segments.
- Build and maintain relationships with fleet operators, trailer manufacturers, commercial transport companies, dealerships and independent workshops.
- Promote products through presentations, technical demonstrations and industry events.
- Provide technical guidance, diagnostics, troubleshooting and system upgrade advice to customers.
- Conduct product training for distributors, dealers and workshops.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging technologies.
- Prepare sales forecasts, market reports and pricing insights.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Business Administration or a related field.
- 2–3 years of proven experience in automotive sales, preferably within commercial vehicles, trailers or heavy‑duty braking systems.
- Demonstrated ability to meet revenue and margin targets.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
Required skills
- Technical knowledge of trailer braking systems (ABS, conventional brakes, air brake components).
- Experience with pressure filters, modulators and sensors.
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting of braking systems.
- System upgrades and retrofits.
