Communications and Digital Infrastructure Engineer – Real Time

About the role

Liquid Intelligent Technologies Uganda is seeking a Communications and Digital Infrastructure Engineer to lead the design, operation and continuous optimisation of real‑time voice services. The role is central to delivering high‑availability, resilient communication platforms that support the company’s strategic pillars of connectivity, cloud, cyber security and AI‑enabled services.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain service availability targets of ≥99.95% and ensure SLA compliance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve voice‑service incidents within defined response times.
• Lead the transformation of voice infrastructure toward cloud‑native, secure and AI‑enabled solutions.
• Reduce dependency on external contractors by building internal capability.
• Support rapid service activation and onboarding of new customers.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to align technical delivery with business objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and operating real‑time communications (voice) platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on service resilience.
• Ability to lead technical projects and drive organisational change.
• Commitment to high operational standards and continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Voice communication systems (e.g., SIP/VoIP).
• Cloud infrastructure and cloud‑native architectures.
• Network troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
• AI integration concepts for communications services.
