Senior Systems Engineer

About the role

Share is building a marketplace for bandwidth, connecting carriers, ISPs, data centers, and enterprise buyers. We are looking for a senior Systems Engineer to own and harden the physical network infrastructure that underpins our platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain carrier‑grade Linux servers and virtualization platforms.
• Manage the security perimeter, including firewalls, network segmentation, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Collaborate with the network team on routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, and load balancing.
• Operate and troubleshoot workloads on at least one hyperscaler (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Provide Kubernetes exposure and integrate AI‑native tools into operational workflows.
• Scope, build, and own infrastructure or security problems from inception to production.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional systems engineering experience, preferably in a telco, ISP, or carrier‑grade environment.
• Deep production Linux administration experience at scale.
• Strong virtualization expertise (VMware, KVM, Hyper‑V or similar).
• Proven ownership of perimeter security and network segmentation.
• Solid networking fundamentals (routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, load balancing).
• Working knowledge of at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Exposure to Kubernetes and AI‑driven operational tools.
