Connectivity Infrastructure Operations Engineer

About the role

The Connectivity Infrastructure Operations Engineer is responsible for operating, maintaining and optimizing Liquid Intelligent Technologies' backbone infrastructure in Uganda. This includes fiber, power, transmission and estate assets that support high‑capacity connectivity, cloud, AI compute, cybersecurity and payments platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and support fiber, power and transmission backbone infrastructure.
• Coordinate fiber and power contractors and validate deliverables with signed acceptance forms.
• Execute infrastructure projects within defined timelines and cost efficiencies.
• Perform incident management, fault diagnosis and restoration activities.
• Conduct planned preventive maintenance across fiber, power and transmission systems.
• Implement and maintain transmission network equipment and related monitoring tools.

Required profile

• Experience in operation and maintenance of fiber, power and transmission infrastructure.
• Proven ability to manage contractors and validate technical deliverables.
• Strong problem‑solving skills for rapid fault resolution.
• Ability to work within project timelines and cost constraints.
