About the role
The Education Officer (NO-2) will support UNICEF’s mission to expand access to quality education and skills development for adolescents in Uganda. Based in Arua, the role works closely with schools, communities, local governments and partners to create inclusive pathways from learning to earning.
Key responsibilities
- Support programme development and planning for education initiatives.
- Manage programme implementation, monitoring and delivery of results.
- Provide technical and operational support to field activities.
- Build and maintain networks and partnerships with stakeholders.
- Promote innovation, knowledge management and capacity‑building within the education sector.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Education, Economics, Sociology or a related field.
- Minimum two years of experience in adolescent development, education programme planning, monitoring and evaluation, partnership development, grant or resource mobilisation, or inter‑agency coordination.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of another UN language or a local language is an asset.
