Excel Specialist - Remote

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Excel Specialist to work remotely on a contract basis. The role involves designing realistic business scenarios and evaluating AI‑generated Office documents to improve model performance.

Key responsibilities

• Design and simulate complex business scenarios using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word that reflect real‑world projects.
• Engage in multi‑turn conversations with a large language model, providing detailed prompts and assessing AI‑generated deliverables.
• Create, review, and compare two AI‑generated Office files (.xlsx.docx.pptx) against professional standards.
• Document feedback and side‑by‑side preference data to guide AI model improvements.
• Provide domain‑specific insights across multiple industries and business functions.
• Communicate findings clearly in written and verbal formats for the AI training team.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional experience using Excel, PowerPoint, and Word in Fortune 500 environments.
• Background in business roles such as private‑equity associate, investment‑banking analyst, junior consultant, FP&A analyst, HR, or marketing strategist.
• Experience creating complex models, reports, analyses, and presentations across finance, healthcare, tech, consulting, or retail.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail in document quality and business relevance.
