Government & Public Utility Account Manager - ICT

About the role

Huawei Uganda is looking for a results‑driven Government & Public Utility Account Manager to expand its ICT business across ministries and public utility sectors such as Power, Water and Transport. The role combines strategic account ownership with end‑to‑end project execution and revenue responsibility within the public sector.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary account lead for assigned government and public utility customers.
• Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with key decision‑makers.
• Own the full project lifecycle: opportunity identification, tendering, delivery and collections.
• Drive order acquisition, revenue growth and payment collection targets.
• Coordinate internal teams and local partners to ensure successful project execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in ICT account management or solution sales within the Ugandan public sector.
• Solid understanding of ICT solutions for networking, data centres, cloud and digital power.
• Strong client‑management, communication and presentation abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage complex public‑sector sales cycles.
