HR-ESG Manager

About the role

The HR-ESG Manager will lead the integration of human resources and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) strategies for Camusat in the Kampala area. This senior role partners with the Executive Committee to embed people strategy, culture transformation, workforce capability development, and responsible business practices into daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Define, drive, and monitor execution of the Group’s HR and ESG strategy within the assigned geographic area.
• Provide leadership and operational oversight of HR functions, ensuring alignment with group frameworks for succession planning, leadership development, and performance management.
• Monitor local market trends and advise on adjustments to HR strategy.
• Ensure compliance with Ugandan labor laws and internal policies, adapting group HR policies to local regulations.
• Maintain accurate HR records, approvals, and documentation in line with governance standards.
• Serve as strategic advisor to departmental leaders on HR and ESG matters, supporting employee engagement and sustainable value creation.

Required profile

• Senior‑level professional with at least 5 years of HR experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of ESG principles and their application in business.
• Strong understanding of Ugandan labor legislation and HR compliance.
• Proven ability to lead HR strategy implementation and drive cultural change.
