Human Resources Trainee

About the role

TechBuzz Hub is looking for a motivated Human Resources Trainee to join its on‑site team in Kampala. This position is part of the Graduate Professionals Apprenticeship Program (GPAP) and offers hands‑on experience in HR management while you earn and develop professional skills.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
• Assist with recruitment activities, including posting job ads, screening candidates, and scheduling interviews.
• Conduct new‑employee orientations and support onboarding processes.
• Help implement HR policies and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Administer employee benefits and assist with payroll coordination.
• Support employee relations initiatives and address routine HR inquiries.
• Contribute to HR projects and continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Pursuing or completed a course in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Strong interest in enterprise development, technology innovation, and startup environments.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of HR management principles and policies.
• Familiarity with recruitment processes and employee benefits administration.
