About the role
The Mission Support Supervisor (Facilities) provides multi‑function service to ensure mission facilities in Uganda are safe, functional and spiritually supportive for missionaries. Reporting to the mission president, the role oversees the upkeep of buildings, manages lease agreements and coordinates fleet and maintenance activities.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate directly with the mission president to meet facility requirements.
- Negotiate apartment leases and renewals for missionary housing.
- Support the support services department with fleet management needs.
- Receive work requests, assign tasks to vendors, and verify that work meets established specifications.
- Conduct monthly facility inspections and manage mission drivers or home attendants.
- Scope and oversee building renovation projects, anticipating future mission needs.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Required profile
- Must be worthy of a temple recommend.
- Minimum five years of relevant experience, higher‑education, or progress toward an industry‑recognized certification.
- Previous leadership experience in a work setting.
- Preferred: a recognized higher‑education degree, directly related experience, and applicable industry certifications.
