Programme Consultant – Humanitarian Action and Women’s Economic Empowerment

About the role

The Programme Consultant will support UN Women Uganda in delivering its Humanitarian Action and Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) programmes. Reporting to the Deputy Country Representative (Head of Programmes) and working with the Programme Specialist Women, Peace and Security, the role focuses on programme development, implementation, monitoring and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, monitor and report on GiHA (Gender in Humanitarian Action) and WEE programmes.
• Provide technical support to programme implementation and ensure alignment with UN Women’s Strategic Note 2026‑2030.
• Oversee people and budget management for the GiHA/WEE programme team.
• Build partnerships and contribute to resource mobilisation strategies.
• Manage knowledge‑building activities and facilitate learning across programmes.

Required profile

• Experience in programme management within humanitarian or gender‑equality contexts.
• Familiarity with UN Women strategic frameworks and outcomes.
• Ability to coordinate monitoring, reporting and partnership activities.
