School Nurse

About the role

The School Nurse will safeguard the health and well‑being of students and staff at L4A School Uganda Limited. You will provide basic medical care, first aid, health monitoring and education within a Christian‑valued environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver basic nursing care, first aid and treatment for minor illnesses and injuries.
• Assess, monitor and record students' health conditions; administer prescribed medication with parental consent.
• Maintain secure individual medical records and manage referrals to hospitals for complex cases.
• Conduct routine health checks, promote hygiene, nutrition and disease‑prevention practices.
• Provide health education to students and staff in individual and group settings.
• Respond to medical emergencies, coordinate referrals and maintain emergency preparedness.
• Support boarding students with on‑call health assistance and monitor dormitory hygiene.

Required profile

• Entry‑level nursing qualification with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to handle confidential health information and adhere to safeguarding policies.
• Commitment to the school’s Christian values and a collaborative school environment.
