Senior Analyst - Distribution & Channels

About the role

The Senior Analyst – Distribution & Channels will support MTN’s Mobile Money ecosystem by delivering insightful performance reports and analytical guidance across all distribution partners. You will work closely with the Senior Manager – Distribution & Channels to optimise agent liquidity, channel efficiency and overall market execution.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain daily, weekly, monthly and ad‑hoc reports covering cash‑in, cash‑out, P2P, rebalancing, agent activity and liquidity availability.
• Provide analytical support on agent performance, market execution and partner effectiveness to inform strategic decisions.
• Analyse agent metrics by classification, territory, transaction volume/value and commission earnings, recommending actions to grow active agents and protect high‑value partners.
• Track liquidity channel performance (Dealers, Super Agents, Trust Banks, Distributor Rebalancers) and ensure reliable float for agents.
• Conduct liquidity gap analysis at national, regional and site levels, identifying underserved areas and float shortages.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Finance, IT, Data Analytics or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Mobile Money, FinTech, Telecom, FMCG distribution, business intelligence or commercial reporting.
• Proven experience in channel performance reporting, agent operations, liquidity management and partner performance analysis.
• Hands‑on experience working with regional teams, dealers, super agents, banks and other distribution partners.
• Strong understanding of Mobile Money operations, KYC, compliance, agent lifecycle and rebalancing processes.
