Senior Analyst - Forensic Investigations

About the role

The Senior Analyst will lead internal forensic investigations, analysing physical and digital evidence to uncover fraud and security breaches. The role supports MTN Uganda’s internal audit function and works closely with legal and law‑enforcement teams.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, preserve and analyse digital evidence using forensic tools such as EnCase and FTK.
• Conduct fraud detection investigations, trace fund flows and prepare detailed forensic reports for senior management and legal proceedings.
• Collaborate with law‑enforcement, legal teams and internal audit to ensure evidence meets court standards.
• Perform risk assessments, recommend internal controls and monitor effectiveness of fraud‑prevention measures.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in fraud detection, prevention and investigations, including digital forensics.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Statistics or a related field and relevant certifications (CFE, CHFI, GCFA, CISM, CISA, CEH).
• Strong analytical, interview and report‑writing skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with forensic software such as EnCase and FTK.
• Data analytics and data mining expertise.
• Knowledge of telecom and fintech environments.
