Software Engineering Trainee

About the role

TechBuzz Hub is launching a full‑time, on‑site Software Engineering Trainee program starting on October 1 in Kampala, Uganda. The trainees will work on real software development projects, gaining hands‑on experience in back‑end system design, coding, and problem solving while receiving mentorship and structured training.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in software development projects alongside experienced engineers.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design and implement back‑end systems.
• Write clean, maintainable code and apply object‑oriented design principles.
• Identify and resolve technical challenges in real‑world applications.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in Computer Science principles and concepts.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic, technical setting.
• Prior exposure to startup or entrepreneurial ecosystems is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree (or current enrollment) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
