About the role

Busitema University, a multi‑campus public university in Eastern Uganda, is seeking qualified candidates for a range of academic, administrative and support staff positions. The advert includes a Senior Lecturer role in Computer Engineering & Informatics as well as several administrative posts such as Dean and Deputy Dean of Students.

Required profile

• PhD in a relevant discipline from a recognised higher‑learning institution (for the Senior Lecturer position).
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Communications & Software Engineering or Telecommunications Engineering.
• First or Second Class Upper Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum three years of university teaching experience or equivalent professional experience.
• At least four peer‑reviewed journal publications in the area of specialization, with two as first, corresponding or senior author.
• Demonstrated contribution to community engagement.
• Current confirmed staff status at Busitema University at the time of application (where applicable).
