Associate Manager – Risk & Compliance

About the role

The Associate Manager – Risk & Compliance will support the Risk and Compliance Manager in evaluating business operations, developing policies, and reducing risk exposure for MAF Retail’s head office in Uganda. The role involves analysing retail data, monitoring integrity channels, and participating in investigations to safeguard the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing risk and compliance initiatives.
• Analyse retail data and prepare action plans to mitigate losses.
• Implement and monitor an integrity hotline.
• Participate in investigations of fraud, employee theft, ethics breaches, and policy violations, recommending resolutions.
• Identify potential risks and help create action plans for safe conditions.
• Analyse risk assessment results and prepare management reports.
• Update risk and compliance policies and procedures.
• Communicate policies and procedures to reduce risk exposure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Security Management, or Risk Management.
• At least 3 years of experience in a similar risk, crisis, or compliance function.
• Strong business communication and presentation abilities.
• Analytical and decision‑making capabilities.
• Team management and leadership experience.
