Group Legal Counsel (East & North Africa)

About the role

Ericsson is seeking a Group Legal Counsel to join the East & North Africa legal team. You will provide strategic legal support across commercial, regulatory, governance and compliance matters, helping the business grow while protecting its interests.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor on high‑value customer, supplier and partnership agreements.
• Lead negotiations and draft complex contracts, ensuring risks are identified and mitigated.
• Advise on corporate governance, data protection, competition law, intellectual property, sanctions and trade controls.
• Collaborate with business units across geographies to support corporate transactions and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to knowledge‑sharing initiatives.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with at least 7 years of experience in a leading law firm or multinational in‑house legal department.
• Strong background in commercial, corporate, regulatory and compliance matters.
• Proven ability to handle complex, cross‑border contracts and negotiations.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder‑management and influencing skills.
• Experience in the technology or telecommunications sector is a plus.
