Associate Relationship Manager – Transactional Banking

About the role

Finance Trust Bank is seeking an Associate Relationship Manager for Transactional Banking to support the growth of its deposit mobilization and digital solutions across SME, corporate and institutional clients. The role is based at the Head Office in Kampala and reports to the Manager Transactional Banking.

Key responsibilities

• Drive acquisition of low‑cost deposits (CASA) by onboarding SMEs, SACCOs, NGOs, corporates and other target segments.
• Promote adoption of digital banking channels (mobile, internet, USSD, agency banking) to increase transaction volumes and reduce over‑the‑counter activity.
• Lead onboarding and utilization of collections and payments solutions such as bulk payments, school fee collections and merchant services.
• Support Relationship Managers in managing SME, women‑led and institutional client portfolios, including client visits to propose cash‑management solutions.
• Ensure compliance with KYC, AML and Bank of Uganda regulations and resolve onboarding or service issues promptly.
• Collaborate with product, operations and IT teams to ensure smooth implementation of new solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• 2–4 years of banking experience, preferably in SME or transaction banking.
• Experience in deposit mobilization and/or digital financial services.
• Strong sales, relationship management and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and results‑driven attitude.
• Passion for financial inclusion and SME development.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with banking systems and digital banking platforms.
