Coffee Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Coffee Buyer will lead the procurement of coffee beans for Lukaaya and Miwula operations, ensuring a reliable supply of high‑quality coffee while supporting the company’s growth objectives. Reporting to the Director, the role combines strategic sourcing, supplier management, and market monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals.
• Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and select reliable coffee farmers and suppliers in Lukaaya and Miwula.
• Monitor order status, manage delivery schedules, and ensure timely receipt of coffee.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and logistics to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
• Track market trends affecting coffee production inputs and logistics.
• Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2‑3 years of experience in coffee procurement, preferably within the Lukaaya or Miwula region.
• Strong ethical standards and integrity.
