Commissioning Electrical Specialist (TIL)

About the role

The Commissioning Electrical Specialist supports the Commissioning Electrical Superintendent in delivering safe and efficient pre‑commissioning, commissioning, start‑up and performance testing of plant electrical systems. The role ensures that all electrical activities meet the plant’s production targets and contractual obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise pre‑commissioning checks, energization, and refurbishment of electrical equipment.
• Lead commissioning activities, test runs, and performance tests for assigned electrical packages.
• Execute the Energization Plan and record completion data for the Systems Completion team.
• Conduct walk‑down inspections, punch‑listing, and reinstatement of electrical systems.
• Plan daily work based on schedules, procedures, and available work fronts.
• Coordinate pre‑commissioning tasks with the E&I subcontractor and ensure Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) are in place.
• Work with equipment manufacturers and vendors for pre‑commissioning, commissioning, and SAT procedures.
• Oversee safe utilization of materials, equipment, and personnel, ensuring quality and quantity standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical pre‑commissioning and commissioning on industrial or power‑plant projects.
• Ability to supervise technicians and manage on‑site electrical teams.
• Strong knowledge of PTW, JSA, and safety compliance requirements.
• Effective coordination skills with subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives.
