Community Field Support Officer – West Nile Region

About the role

ACTON Uganda Ltd is recruiting a community‑based Field Support team to help implement its projects across the West Nile Region, covering the districts of Arua, Terego, Madi‑Okollo, Yumbe and Adjumani. The role involves on‑site engagement with youth‑owned enterprises to provide coaching, mentorship and business development assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct field‑level mapping and data collection on youth‑owned enterprises in the assigned district.
• Deliver weekly on‑site coaching and mentorship visits to supported enterprises.
• Provide first‑line business development support and troubleshoot emerging challenges.
• Submit weekly field reports detailing progress and any issues identified.

Required profile

• Diploma in Business Administration, Business Studies, Social Work, Development Studies, Economics, Social Sciences or Agriculture (Bachelor’s degree is an advantage).
• Minimum 2 years experience facilitating community‑based business development, enterprise development or mentorship training.
• At least 3 years experience in data collection.
• Strong working knowledge of one or more local languages such as Kakwa, Lugbara, Madi or Arabic.
