Credit Analyst – SME

About the role

The Bank is seeking a dynamic Credit Analyst to assess the creditworthiness of SME loan requests, ensure compliance with credit policy, and provide recommendations to approval committees. The role is based at the Head Office and reports to the Manager Credit Evaluation‑SME/Commercial.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and reformulate credit proposals from branches, identify embedded risks and recommend appropriate mitigations.
• Prepare complete credit mirror files, maintain committee registers and ensure adherence to service level agreements and credit risk policy.
• Support branches by gathering required documentation, advising customers on suitable credit structures and ensuring timely processing of applications.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of file movements and coordinate with business teams to meet customer service standards.

Required profile

• Business degree in Commerce, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Minimum three years’ experience in credit operations.
• Strong verbal and written communication, ability to work under pressure and exercise sound judgment.
• Integrity, teamwork orientation and ability to build relationships across organisational boundaries.
