Customer Acquisition Officer

About the role

Pahappa Limited, a software company serving African businesses, is looking for a results-driven Customer Acquisition Officer to join its Customer Acquisition Team in Kampala. This is a full-time, on-site, performance-driven role focused on generating new business, acquiring customers and meeting revenue and acquisition targets.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve assigned customer acquisition revenue targets.
• Generate and qualify new business opportunities.
• Prospect for new customers through calls, email, networking, referrals and other approved channels.
• Conduct customer acquisition meetings and product demonstrations.
• Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Prepare and follow up on proposals and quotations, handle objections and negotiate.
• Maintain an active acquisition pipeline and accurate CRM records.
• Prepare acquisition reports and forecasts, develop strong customer relationships and provide market and competitor feedback.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, IT, Computer Science or a related field (desirable).
• At least two years of relevant sales, business development or customer care experience.
• Demonstrated experience working against targets.

Required skills

• Strong communication, presentation, prospecting, negotiation and closing skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
• Strong customer relationship management skills.
• Added advantage: experience selling SaaS, HR technology, fintech, telecommunications, IT solutions or other technology-based businesses.
