Digital Audio Commercial Lead / Business Development Manager

About the role

A leading regional media organisation is launching East Africa's first digital audio super‑app in Q4 2026. We are seeking a commercially driven leader to pioneer the monetisation of digital audio, own revenue generation and build go‑to‑market advertising products for brands and agencies across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Conceptualise, package and launch innovative digital audio advertising products tailored for brands and agencies.
• Pitch, negotiate and close advertising deals with top‑tier brands, media agencies and programmatic buyers.
• Use campaign analytics and attribution data to demonstrate measurable ROI to commercial clients.
• Establish, manage and expand commercial relationships with partner radio stations and content providers across East Africa.
• Drive market adoption of digital audio advertising in Kenya, Uganda and the wider region.

Required profile

• Proven track record in media sales, programmatic advertising sales or business development within media and ad‑tech.
• Strong commercial instincts with the ability to package, pitch and close complex advertising deals.
• Well‑developed network and deep understanding of the media agency and advertising landscape in Kenya or Uganda.
• Experience in commercial radio operations, agency media buying/selling or digital media sales is preferred.
