Direct Sales Agent Manager (Uganda)

About the role

The Direct Sales Agent (DSA) Manager will lead a network of field sales agents across Uganda, driving customer acquisition, market expansion and product adoption. You will be responsible for recruiting, training, coaching and motivating the team to meet and exceed sales targets while ensuring excellent customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Recruit, onboard and train Direct Sales Agents; set performance targets and conduct regular reviews.
• Monitor daily sales activities, provide coaching, and address performance gaps.
• Build relationships with local communities, businesses, NGOs and strategic partners to identify new market opportunities.
• Collect market intelligence on competitors, pricing trends and customer needs, and recommend penetration strategies.
• Maintain accurate sales pipeline, reporting, customer records and coordinate with logistics for timely product delivery.
• Ensure pre‑sales and post‑sales support, resolve complaints and promote customer satisfaction.
• Prepare weekly and monthly performance reports, analyse KPIs and present forecasts to management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
• 3–4 years of sales experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven experience managing field sales teams or Direct Sales Agents.
• Experience in solar energy, consumer durable goods, fintech, micro‑finance, telecommunications or FMCG is an advantage.
