Driver – NGO Vehicle Operator

About the role

World Vision is seeking a reliable driver to operate its vehicles in Imvepi, Terego District. The role supports the organization’s mission to help vulnerable children by ensuring safe transport of staff, passengers, and goods.

Key responsibilities

• Drive World Vision vehicles and authorized passengers to approved destinations following the vehicle usage policy.
• Deliver packages, mail, and other items to designated locations in line with organizational procedures.
• Inspect vehicle condition before each trip (oil, water, brakes, tyre pressure, insurance, etc.) and perform minor repairs or adjustments.
• Maintain vehicle hygiene, monitor security of passengers and luggage, and keep a detailed travel log.
• Report any damages or accidents promptly and submit monthly vehicle reports.
• Observe traffic regulations, adhere to designated parking areas, and dress according to the company dress code.

Required profile

• Minimum O‑Level certificate and a valid driving permit.
• At least three years of driving experience.
• Driving licences in Class B, D1 and any Class C; Class A1 is a plus.
• Defensive Driving Certificate from a recognized school.
• Computer literacy and basic mechanical knowledge.
• First‑aid training and knowledge of national road‑safety rules.
• Committed Christian able to participate in daily devotions and weekly chapel services.
• Experience in NGO or emergency‑response environments is essential.
