Ecosystems and Partnerships Lead (Uganda)

About the role

The Ecosystems and Partnerships Lead will own the Thrive ecosystem in Uganda, shaping strategy, building partner networks and driving adoption across staff and customers. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure the platform aligns with Old Mutual’s group objectives while meeting local market needs.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the Thrive ecosystem strategy for Uganda, identifying and onboarding partners in physical wellness, mental wellness, financial advisory and digital experiences.
• Design mutually beneficial partnership models covering commercial terms, engagement frameworks and co‑creation initiatives.
• Act as the business owner of Thrive in Uganda, coordinating cross‑functional delivery across Marketing, HR, Customer Experience, Digital and Distribution.
• Lead pilot implementations, staff activation campaigns and market roll‑outs, monitoring adoption, engagement and partner performance.
• Drive sustained staff and customer adoption through ecosystem activations, corporate wellness programs and community‑based participation.
• Link ecosystem engagement to customer acquisition, retention, brand relevance and cross‑sell opportunities, providing regular performance insights to executive leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Innovation, Strategy, Economics or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in partnerships, ecosystems or platform‑based business models, preferably within digital platforms, fintech, telco, health‑tech, banking or lifestyle sectors.
• Proven track record of building and managing multi‑partner ecosystems.
• Strong stakeholder management across multiple business functions.
• Excellent commercial, negotiation and relationship‑management capabilities.
