Engine Cadet – Maritime Fleet Position

About the role

Anthony Veder offers an enthusiastic individual the chance to join the Fleet department as an Engine Cadet. In this role you will gain hands‑on experience in the maritime industry, working closely with experienced engineers on the operation and maintenance of our vessels.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance and repair of ship engines, machinery, and equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving equipment malfunctions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
• Participate in training programs to enhance technical knowledge and skills.

Required profile

• Valid Engine Cadet Certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Basic understanding of marine engineering principles.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
• Good physical fitness and ability to work in challenging conditions.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
• Flexibility to work in shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
• Valid seafarer medical certificate.
