Export Supervisor – Cross‑border Shipments to East Africa

About the role

The Export Supervisor will manage the export of finished goods from the factory to Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania. You will be responsible for the full cross‑border export process, ensuring compliance and timely shipments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage factory finished‑goods exports to Kenya, Rwanda and Tanzania.
• Operate Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) and EFRIS systems to complete export declarations, amend data and file customs paperwork.
• Apply for, organize and manage EAC Certificates of Origin and ensure compliance with EAC origin rules for duty‑free clearance.
• Review export documents, control container weight and standardize declaration information to avoid customs inspections, additional taxes and shipment delays.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders and local customs authorities to guarantee stable and on‑time export shipments.

Required profile

• Familiar and proficient with URA and EFRIS system operations.
• Clear understanding of EAC origin policies and cross‑border clearance procedures.
• 1–3 years of relevant export or customs experience in Uganda, capable of handling daily customs affairs independently.
• Fluent English for business communication with customs, forwarders and management.
• Meticulous and responsible in document verification and data sorting, able to resolve common customs clearance exceptions.
