Female Credit Officer

About the role

Uzima Microfinance Uganda Limited is seeking a Female Credit Officer to mobilize and recruit clients, manage loan processes, and build strong customer relationships across rural and peri‑urban communities.

Key responsibilities

• Mobilize and recruit clients within assigned areas and market segments.
• Conduct field assessments, group formation, loan appraisal, and verification of client information.
• Facilitate loan disbursement, monitor loan performance, and conduct regular follow‑ups.
• Maintain accurate records of client files, loan documentation, and repayments.
• Ensure timely collection of loan installments while promoting a positive repayment culture.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships while promoting Uzima’s products and services.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly performance reports to the Branch Manager.

Required profile

• Minimum of a Degree in Business Administration, Microfinance, Accounting, Social Sciences, Education, or any related field.
• Experience in field‑based microfinance lending is an added advantage.
• Willingness to work and travel extensively in rural and peri‑urban communities.
• High level of integrity, discipline, and results‑oriented work ethic.
• Age 35 years and below.
• All interviews will be conducted at the Mbale Regional offices.
