Finance Manager / Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented and strategic Finance Manager / Accountant to lead our financial operations in Kampala. The role will oversee reporting, ledger maintenance, regulatory compliance and provide data‑driven insights to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day accounting functions including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable and payroll.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Develop, monitor and analyse budgets, forecasts and financial risk profiles.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, GAAP/IFRS standards and internal controls.
• Coordinate external audits and prepare required documentation.
• Provide actionable financial insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA, ACCA or CMA preferred.
• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) as a Finance Manager or Accountant.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities with high attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP and NetSuite.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for financial modelling and analysis.
