Global Financial Shared Services Manager

About the role

The Global Financial Shared Services Manager will lead IPA’s newly created Shared Services Center within the Global Finance team. This role builds the center from the ground up, designing end‑to‑end finance processes and establishing a high‑performing team that serves all IPA entities worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day operations covering accounts payable, journal entry processing, intercompany transactions, and bank and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Define and monitor service‑level agreements with country offices and headquarters, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Identify automation opportunities, drive system improvements, and implement process simplifications in partnership with IT.
• Recruit, onboard, and supervise up to five Shared Services staff, set performance objectives, and conduct regular reviews.
• Develop dashboards and KPIs, reporting results to senior finance leadership on a regular cadence.
• Ensure compliance with IPA policies, donor requirements, and applicable accounting standards; support internal and external audits.
• Act as primary liaison between the Shared Services Center, country finance teams, and Global Finance leadership.

Required profile

• Proven experience building or leading a finance shared services function or similar operation.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, journal entries, intercompany accounting, and reconciliation processes.
• Demonstrated ability to design and enforce service‑level agreements and performance metrics.
• Experience managing and developing small finance teams.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills across multiple geographic locations.

Required skills

• NetSuite (or comparable ERP) proficiency.
